Dampeer graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Art in Education degree from the University of North Alabama.

Brooks Dampeer played football at Northeast Mississippi CC and University of North Alabama. His coaching career began as a graduate assistant at the University of North Alabama before making stops at Independence CC, Spain Park HS, Pell City HS, Daphne HS and St. Clair Co. HS. In March of 2021, Dampeer moved to his home state of Mississippi. It’s there he took over as head football coach at Amory High School. During his tenure at Amory, they have won 39 games in four seasons and played for a State Championship and two North Half Championships.

Dampeer has coached numerous players that have gone on to play at all levels of college football.

A native of North Mississippi, Dampeer and his wife Emily have two children Carter (11) and Charli Kate (9).
